terrorists and WMD: is it real? the latest updates.

The Guardian UK reported that "...the security services have intercepted up to 100 suspects posting as postgraduate students who aim to acquire weapons material and expertise."

Despite the CIA and other intelligence agencies reports about decrease in forces and strengths of a terrorist Al Qaeda, the efforts to acquire WMD and related materials by Al Qaeda and other terrorist organizations continue to take place even today.

MI 5 reported that according to the agency's intelligency, Al Qaeda is actively seeking access to the information and/or materials containing deadly viruses, weapon grade materials and etc. With modern internet techncology and communication, a lot of information can be easily accessed through open sources.

In the United States, experts and intellectuals have been warning the U.S. government and community about the dangers posed by WMD terrorism, but not much is being done to prevent a potential catastrophe. Often times, it seems very unreal that a small group can acquire a deadly weapon, but the warning signs are there and there is no time to waiste: it's time to take action now and promote international cooperation and relevant policies to take practical steps to prevent WMD terrorism.
